The battle for second in the Constructorsâ Standings goes down to the wire this weekend, with Mercedes boasting just a four-point advantage over Ferrari. However, the carâs performance in Las Vegas was slightly better than the final result. George Russell was demoted to eighth after a penalty, with Lewis Hamilton finishing in a fine seventh despite collisions on two separate occasions.
It was a resurgent weekend for Ferrari, as they appeared to have the pace to challenge for the win. However, Charles Leclerc eventually settled for second, while Carlos Sainz battled through the grid following a harsh penalty to finish sixth.
McLaren will also be looking to seal fourth in the Constructorsâ Standings this weekend. They boast an eleven-point advantage over Aston Martin coming into the final race. Oscar Piastri was undeniably one of the stars of the day in Las Vegas, as the Australian finished with the fastest lap after battling back to finish tenth overall.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Prediction
It still looks challenging to overlook Max Verstappen to end the season with a final win. However, Mercedes could enjoy a decent weekend, as we could see Lewis Hamilton claiming a podium finish at the Yas Marina Circuit.
