Event Preview

A sensational weekend of F1 action is set for the picture-esque backdrop of Monaco at the start of June. The race is typically one of the most unpredictable, with changing weather conditions and the difficulty of the track, seeing incidents change the outcome of the race. However, qualifying on Saturday is vitally important, as overtaking can be near-impossible on such narrow roads.

It has been an excellent period in the season for Kimi Antonelli. The Italian has won each of the last four races, and is yet to finish outside of the first two places in 2026. George Russell retired in Canada last time out, meaning that Antonelli now has a sizable advantage at the top of the Drivers’ Championship.

McLaren endured a nightmare weekend in Montreal. Much of that was their own doing, as the team decided to start on intermediate tires in dry conditions. Lando Norris retired, while Oscar Piastri finished outside of the points in eleventh.

Ferrari looked more competitive in Canada, with Lewis Hamilton finishing second and Charles Leclerc taking fourth. Max Verstappen also enjoyed an encouraging weekend after finishing third. Alpine could be on course for another good weekend, as both of their drivers finished in the top ten at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Monaco Grand Prix Picks

The Monaco Grand Prix circuit should suit Ferrari, with the low-speed corners reducing the need to conserve energy. Lewis Hamilton looked re-energized in Canada, and his long wait for a first win with the team could end on the streets of Monaco.
