Fight Preview
Yan Xiaonan boasts an 18-4-1 record and is eager to bounce back from her April loss to Zhang Weili in the UFC Women’s Strawweight title bout. Despite losing by decision, Xiaonan’s performance stood out.
She endured 106 significant strikes, six takedowns, and two submission attempts over 25 grueling minutes but never backed down. In fact, she even managed to knock Zhang down, becoming only the second UFC fighter to do so (after Rose Namajunas).
Ranked No. 2 in the division, Xiaonan needs to beat Ricci to inch closer to a rematch with the champ. Fighting on home turf in Macau, she’ll have the crowd firmly in her corner, making her even more dangerous.
The trouble is, however, that Tabatha Ricci’s confidence is sky-high. How wouldn’t it be given that she’s got an 11-2 overall record with 6-1 in the UFC Women’s Strawweight division. The only loss in the 115-pound division happened against Loopy Godinez by a (somewhat) controversial split decision.

Yan Xiaonan vs. Tabatha Ricci Prediction
Expect a war of attrition. Both fighters are famously relentless, each with no intention of giving up. Our prediction is that the fight will last for the full 15 minutes, but who’s going to win by decision?
Betting odds suggest it’s going to be Xiaonan and we agree. Although there isn’t too big a difference between these two in terms of fighting capabilities, we do think the Chinese fighter is slightly better.
