Indiana Pacers won three straight, but when they needed to even the record at 10-10, they lost at home to the Detroit Pistons, 130-106. Sure, the team from Indianapolis has injury problems, but this can’t be an alibi for this defeat.
The Pacers’ biggest problem this year is Tyrese Haliburton’s inconsistency. He has only 16.6 points per game and shoots a terrible 39.9% from the field. Though, we must add that he improved in the last few weeks following a horrible start.
Memphis has the third-best offense in the NBA, with 121 points per game. They look hyped, like two years ago when this team indicated its true potential and its title talent. But after that, Ja Morant’s “talent” for guns emerged.
Morant is solid for the moment with 21.4 points, yet 9.1 assists. He slowly transitioned from scorer to playmaker, and we need to say that he looks good in that position, apart from 4.1 turnovers per game.
