Falcons vs. Packers Odds
Game Preview
The Atlanta Falcons (0-2) arrive in Green Bay seeking answers after a brutal 34-3 divisional loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 2. Let’s face it, Cooper Rush isn’t starting-QB material, and his stats are saying that: a TD pass and 4 interceptions so far. He was replaced by Jack Strand, who also threw an interception against the Panthers.
Additionally, a headache for head coach Kevin Stefanski is Tua Tagovailoa’s injury as well as Michael Penix Jr.’s slow recovery. They are both questionable for Week 3. Until one of them is ready, Atlanta’s pass game will be terrible, and all the eyes will be on RBs Bijan and Brian Robinson. Both combined for 123 rushing yards against the Panthers and were the best among the Falcons.
Trailing 17-7 late in the fourth quarter, Matt LaFleur’s team initiated a ten-point rally to tie the score and force OT. To cut the story short, it all led to rookie kicker Trey Smack eventually nailing the 26-yard game-winner in OT. Jordan Love threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns, while Green Bay’s rushing attack managed only 63 yards.
Pass rusher Lukas Van Ness delivered a breakout performance with 1.5 sacks and nine tackles, leading a unit that generated two sacks on the opening drive of overtime. If it weren’t for the defense that stepped up when needed, be sure that the Packers would be 0-2 right now.

The Falcons are falling apart, and all the info suggests neither Tua nor Penix Jr. is about to start in Green Bay. So, knowing that the Packers exploit the home-field edge pretty well, we pick them to win and cover the spread.
