There will be pressure on both Tottenham and Man City this weekend, with the sides fighting at opposite ends of the standings. The pressure was eased slightly on Thomas Frank in midweek following a much-needed Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt. However, Spurs are winless in their last five in the league.
An alarming fact for the North London club is that only West Ham and Wolves have picked up fewer Premier League points than Spurs since the start of last season. Home form is a genuine concern for the club, as Thomas Frank has won just four home matches in his last 22.
Man City will have their sights set on top spot in the Premier League, and they could cut the gap to Arsenal to a point with a win on Sunday. City have bounced back to form in their last two, beating Wolves and Galatasaray without conceding. Erling Haaland also ended his scoring drought in the Champions League on Wednesday.
However, City will need to improve defensively if they are to put more pressure on the Gunners. Guardiola’s side are given up a higher average number of shots per game, and their record on the road in the last two seasons has dipped. This is evident based on the fact that they have won just 1.53 points per game since the start of last term.
