It has been a period of change for the national side in recent years, with many of their more experienced players now having been replaced. However, Belgium still boast excellent quality in the final third, with the biggest responsibilities falling on the shoulders of Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.

Their consistent performances on the field have continued so far this year, netting eight times across their last two internationals against Wales and San Marino. However, Belgium are unbeaten in their three previous meetings against Slovakia, with two of those fixtures ending in draws.
