Crystal Palace are one of a number of teams remaining in the FA Cup this season that are yet to win the prestigious English honor. The Eagles have eased through the opening two rounds of the competition, most recently beating Doncaster Rovers away from home.
Millwall will be the outsiders in the fifth round tie this week. However, that isn’t likely to impact the Lions, as they were unfancied in the previous round before beating Championship leaders Leeds United 2-0 at Elland Road. But, this looks a taller order on paper.

Crystal Palace and Millwall will be colliding in the FA Cup for the eighth time this weekend. The Lions have progressed from four of the previous ties, with the Eagles only going three on three occasions. This weekend’s clash is the 100th meeting between the teams, with Millwall having failed to win in each of the last five.
Palace have a reliable record at this stage of the competition, as they have progressed from their last three fifth round ties. Their most recent success came in the 2021-22 season, which was also the same campaign in which they faced Millwall most recently.
The Eagles also have an excellent record against teams from lower divisions. Palace have won nine of their last ten. Meanwhile, Millwall have won just one of their last 13 away matches against top-flight teams in the FA Cup.
