Event Preview
A huge fixture in the Premier League is set for the City Ground on Thursday, as Nottingham Forest bid to keep their Champions League aspirations in their own hands. The Tricky Trees were beaten 2-0 by Man City in their FA Cup semi-final on Sunday, and they have lost two of their last three in the Premier League.
Brentford will still be hoping to achieve a top half finish in the Premier League this season. The Bees have gone three matches without a defeat in the competition, and they showed their attacking qualities when landing a dominant win over Brighton last time out.

Forest recorded a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture this season, which ended a six-game winless run against the Bees in league matches. However, the Tricky Trees haven’t completed a league double against their opponents since 2019-20.
Brentford’s recent record at the City Ground is also a slight issue. The Bees have won just one of their last five in the East Midlands. But, their three-game unbeaten sequence is their best run of form this season.
Forest suffered a home defeat against Everton in their last match at the City Ground, which ended their nine-game unbeaten run. However, they haven’t lost successive home fixtures since the end of last season.
