The Premier League weekend comes to a close on Monday evening, as Nottingham Forest host Burnley. It has been an excellent start to the new season for the hosts, as they have won two of their opening four matches. Their standout win of the campaign to this point came in their latest fixture, as they recorded a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

It was a fine counter-attacking performance by Forest on that afternoon, as Anthony Elanga scored the winning goal early in the second half. Despite having just 23% of the possession, Forest registered more shots on goal than their rivals, and they could have easily won by a wider margin in South London.

Burnley are still waiting for their first league win of the season following their promotion back to the Premier League. However, they will take confidence from the fact that they have already won at the City Ground this season, as they landed a 1-0 win in the second round of the EFL Cup on August 30.

But, the Clarets have been given a stern reality check since kicking off the season, as they have lost each of their opening three matches. Over that period, they have allowed eleven goals, and have scored just three times. This is a huge match for Vincent Kompany’s side, as the Clarets come up against Man United and Newcastle over the next couple of weeks.
