Game Preview
Schalke opened the campaign with a 3-0 loss in Augsburg. This game clearly showed what’s going to be the biggest problem for the Miners, and that would be the defense. They have allowed at least two goals in the past 4 events, counting the preseason and the DFB Pokal.
They will be without suspended Shallenberg, who received a red card in Round 1. Both Edin Dzeko and Robin Gosens are expected to get some minutes, with the strong striker likely not starting but coming on from the bench.
