Liverpool have dropped points in two of their last three Premier League matches, meaning that they hold an eight-point advantage at the summit having played a game more than Arsenal. The Gunners could close the gap at the summit to five points with a win on Saturday before the Reds take to the field. Man City have failed to recapture the magic from the previous four seasons in 2024-25, as they have quickly faded away in the title race. The head-to-head trends support the chances of a City win this weekend, as they have lost just once in their last 15 home matches against Liverpool. That loss was suffered back in November 2015. Overall, City have won eight of the 15 head-to-head clashes between the sides.

Liverpool landed a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture this term, but they haven’t completed a double over the champions since 2015-16.
