Liverpool will quickly turn their attentions back to domestic matters on Saturday, as Arne Slot’s side bid to go 16 points clear at the summit when they come up against Southampton. The Reds have won each of their last two in the league, and they have suffered just a single loss in 28 outings.
That is a record that Southampton can only dream of. The Saints sit bottom of the standings, and they look set for an immediate return to the Championship this term.
