Pick rationale
Analysis & key factors
- 49ers vs. Texans total is set at 42.5 points
- San Francisco has many injured players.
- Houston Texans allow the fewest points per game, 14.7.
It seems that the 49ers decided to go against all the odds and prove all the doubters wrong. This team faces numerous injuries, but still keeps pushing. On the other hand, the Texans can’t find the right groove, as they have one of the best defenses in the league, yet they have only 2 wins so far.

49ers vs. Texans Odds
Game Preview
The Niners beat the Falcons last weekend, 20-10, with Christian McCaffrey shining. One of the best offensive players in the last decade had two rushing touchdowns, 129 yards on the ground and 72 receiving yards, toying with Atlanta’s defense.
Mac Jones began showing signs of slowing down. He had only 152 passing yards, 17-for-26, without a touchdown pass and with one interception. CMC’s effect on the 49ers’ running game was huge, as the team from Levi’s Stadium recorded 174 yards on the ground here.
The Houston Texans allow the fewest points in the league per game, 14.7, yet they are losing. On Monday Night Football, the Texans allowed almost twice as many points to the Seahawks, 27-19, snapping the back-to-back win streak.
The running game wasn’t working at all for Houston, which had a miserable 56 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, CJ Stroud wasn’t in the zone, having only 229 passing yards for one touchdown and one interception, and the loss here was, let’s say, logical.
49ers vs. Texans Head to Head
San Francisco 49ers lead the all-time series after 5 meetings, 4-1.
49ers vs. Texans Predictions
San Francisco has multiple problems with their starters, and some of them won’t return until the end of the year. This one will be a huge test for them because of the Texans’ solid defense. The home team struggles offensively, with Stroud often failing to deliver. All this forces us to bet on Under 42.5 points.
