  • Commanders vs. Chiefs is NFL Week 8 Monday Night Football.
  • Jayden Daniels is reportedly out for this event.
  • The Chiefs shut down the Raiders last weekend, 31-0.

Without Jayden Daniels, the Commanders will give a chance to Marcus Mariota. His task will be hard, but there’s no giving up here. As for the Raiders, they are after their 3rd consecutive victory.

Game Preview

The Commanders won’t count on Daniels here due to his hamstring injury. It’s not that tough, but the team wants to save the young QB in the long run. The team has suffered two consecutive losses, losing to the Bears at home, 25-24, and the Cowboys on the road, 44-22.

In our humble opinion, they won’t push Daniels to play here, as they want to focus on later matches. As for Mariota, he’s not in good shape here. We saw him struggling against Dallas, throwing one intercepted pass in 10 passing attempts.

Chiefs are on the rise here. Mahomes and the boys used their easy schedule to get back in the saddle and jump above the .500 line. Beating the Raiders 31-0 was beneficial for several reasons: it was a divisional win, humiliated the old rivals, and boosted morale.

Mahomes threw for 286 passing yards, and he had 3 touchdowns. Isaiah Pacheco ran for only 57 yards but scored a touchdown, while 6 of the Chiefs’ receivers had 35+ receiving yards.

Commanders vs. Chiefs Head to Head

This rivalry has seen 11 games, and the Chiefs lead the series 10-1.

Commanders vs. Chiefs Predictions

The spread Chiefs need to cover is 12.5 points (opened at 10.5). They will do so because of the current situation in Washington and Daniels’ absence. Also, the home team is accelerating, and we all know how that looks. Don’t be surprised if KC scores like, 40 points in this event.
