The pressure continues to increase on Ange Postecoglou, and defeat at Villa Park could signal the end of his tenure in North London. It has been a season to forget for the North London club, as they find themselves sitting down in 14th in the Premier League standings. A humbling display at Anfield arrived on Thursday, as Tottenham failed to make their first leg advantage count after being thumped 4-0 at Anfield.
Aston Villa’s form throughout this season has been largely inconsistent. The Villa remain in the hunt for a European finish, but they come into this weekend after winning just once across their last four in all competitions. Last weekend, they suffered a 2-0 defeat in a West Midlands derby against Wolves.

Villa’s record in the cup against Tottenham also raises questions this weekend. They have progressed from just one of the last six FA Cup meetings between the sides.
