The eyes of the world are always on the action when Man United and Liverpool collide, and this Sunday’s match will be no different. However, it could be a clash that United fans will be watching through their fingers, such has been their dismal displays that they have put on in recent weeks.
United come into this round sitting just seven points clear of the relegation zone, having won just once across their last five. Victory over Man City did little to encourage United, as they have since lost three on the bounce in the Premier League. Their most recent defeat was suffered against Newcastle in disappointing fashion on Monday.

Things couldn’t be going much better for Liverpool at this stage of the season. The Reds sit top of the standings after 18 rounds of matches, and they hold a six-point advantage over Arsenal. Liverpool continued their charge toward the title over the festive period, winning all three of their matches.
Liverpool boast a remarkable record against Man United in recent memory, as they have suffered just one defeat in the last 13 league meetings between the sides. Meanwhile, the Red Devils have failed to win on their last eight trips to Anfield, and they have scored just once in that period.
