Liverpool look on course to win the Premier League title at a canter in 2024-25. The Reds moved eleven points clear of Arsenal last weekend with a dominant 2-0 away success at Man City. That victory means that the Reds remain unbeaten on the road this season, and they have suffered just one defeat in 27 matches.
Newcastle bounced back to form over the weekend after recording a dramatic 4-3 win against Nottingham Forest. The success ended a two-match losing sequence, and means that they are now level on points with fourth-placed Man City, and just three behind Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle’s record against Liverpool deserves extra attention this week. The Magpies have failed to win in their last 28 league visits to Anfield, and have picked up just five points across that period. Newcastle have also failed to win in their last 16 EPL matches against the Reds.
The Magpies have often come up short against the very best in the Premier League, having won just once in their last 27 encounters against teams starting the day at the top of the standings.
