Liverpool’s fifth consecutive Premier League victory was not enough to make manager Jurgen Klopp say that Champions League qualification is still possible. That feeling may have changed following Man United’s loss on Thursday though. Trent Alexander Arnold has come under a lot of fire this season for poor defensive displays but the youngster has been impervious of late. Another Mo Salah goal was enough to secure victory over Fulham, and the Egyptian has now scored in 8 consecutive home matches.

Brentford staged a late comeback against Nottingham Forest on Saturday to keep their European hopes alive. Ivan Toney’s 82nd-minute equalizer saw him become the first Brentford player to score 20 top-flight goals since Dave McCulloch in 1938. Josh DaSilva scored the winner in the fifth minute of injury time to move Brentford to 50 points for the season.
Prediction
Brentford beat Liverpool 3-1 in the reverse fixture this season but a repeat of that match seems unlikely. Liverpool has managed to turn their poor form around and another win here will pile the pressure on Man United. At Anfield, it is always hard to see anything other than a Liverpool victory.
