Pick rationale
Analysis & key factors
An interesting clash is set for the third round of Wimbledon on Saturday, as former world number one Iga Swiatek collides with American star Danielle Collins. Swiatek doesn’t necessarily play her best tennis on the grass, but the Pole is looking more assured this year and could yet be a leading contender for success at the All England Club.

Match Preview
Five-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek will be a red-hot favorite to secure her place in the fourth-round draw at Wimbledon this weekend. However, the Pole has only reached this stage of the competition on two occasions during her career, with her best showing coming back in 2023 when reaching the quarterfinals.
Swiatek was forced to bring her A-game in the previous round after battling back from a set down to overcome Caty McNally. The Pole registered five aces, and converted on five from 13 break point opportunities. However, she will need to sharpen up after giving McNally a staggering 15 break point chances.

Unseeded American Danielle Collins has played some of her best tennis of the year at Wimbledon over the last seven days. The 31-year-old is yet to drop a set at the Grand Slam, but it is worth considering that she is yet to come up against a seeded player. But, her dominance was clear to see in the previous round after dropping just five games.
The American certainly appears to excel on the grass, having reached the fourth round at the All England Club last summer for the first time in her career. Her ability to stay in points will be a major asset against the former world number one this weekend.
Head-to-Head Record
Switak holds the healthy advantage in previous clashes between these stars, winning seven of the last nine. However, Collins did register a rare win in the most recent meeting at the WTA Tour event in Rome a few months ago.
Iga Swiatek vs. Danielle Collins Picks
Swiatek has looked vulnerable on the grass already during the tournament, and she could come unstuck against a very talented American opponent on Saturday. Therefore, a chance can be taken on the outsider to progress through to the next round at Wimbledon.
