Women’s US Open Winner Contenders

It has been yet another unpredictable year on the WTA Tour calendar, with first-time Grand Slam winners crowned at both the French Open and Wimbledon. Therefore, betting on the women’s US Open could provide huge value in 2026.

Aryna Sabalenka is a comfortable +250 favorite to win the US Open title for the third straight year, but questions could be asked of the dominant player on the Tour based on her Slam performances in 2026. She is yet to win a major this year, and she crashed out at her earliest stage of a Grand Slam earlier this summer since the French Open in 2022.

Coco Gauff will be the leading American contender in her home Grand Slam, as the two-time major winner looks to add to her U.S. Open success from 2023. However, she has only once reached the final four in New York. Iga Swiatek could go under the radar after reaching the quarterfinal stage in three of the last four editions of the Slam, but she has looked below her best throughout 2026.

Elena Rybakina and Mirra Andreeva are two of the most consistent players on the Tour, and both have celebrated major success this calendar year. Rybakina will be the standout play of the two, having won the Australian Open on the hard court in Melbourne at the start of 2026.

Amanda Anisimova shouldn’t be dismissed after reaching the Wimbledon and U.S. Open finals last year. She has been in excellent form throughout this year, reaching a world ranking of third.

Women’s US Open Winner Pick

Women’s Grand Slams are traditionally hard to predict, meaning that there is little value at betting on the favorite at short odds. Therefore, a chance could be taken on 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko.

She made waves last year after winning the Canadian Open, and continued to progress this season by winning the Qatar Open.

Mboko has achieved career-best showings at two majors this year, and her game is best suited to a hard-court surface, ensuring that she could be an excellent value play at odds of +2000.
