Match Preview
The increased pressure this weekend will likely be on Iga Swiatek, who bids to maintain her perfect record in Grand Slam finals. The Pole is a five-time major winner, and has thrived on the grass court this summer due to the lack of pressure on her shoulders.
It could be argued that Swiatek saved her best performance of the tournament for the previous round, as she sailed through against Belinda Bencic in straight sets. Most impressive was the fact that she dropped just two games. Her dominance was reflected after allowing Bencic just two break point opportunities.

However, Anisimova is a player that we have liked throughout the Championships this year, as she has reached the level that many expected she would. Her incredible character has taken her back to the summit, just years after losing her father and taking a break from the WTA Tour.
The American’s best performance was delivered in the previous round, as she stunned world number one Aryna Sabalenka. Anisimova came through the acid test after registering two aces, and winning an impressive 69% of the points on second serve. But, this appears to be a tougher task in the final.
Head-to-Head Record
Interestingly, this weekend’s Wimbledon final will mark the first time that Anisimova and Swiatek have collided in a competitive match on the WTA Tour.
Amanda Anisimova vs. Iga Swiatek Picks
Anisimova and Swiatek have been the two best players at Wimbledon this summer, and a thrilling final is set. Despite Swiatek’s dominance on the grass this summer, we are keeping faith with Anisimova to fulfill her destiny and land Grand Slam glory for the first time.
