Analysis & key factors
Super Bowl LX is near, and so are passing prop bets for both quarterbacks involved – Drake Maye and Sam Darnold. Passing yards limits are on, and we took a look at the same, bringing some NFL betting suggestions here.
Here is all the information about the Super Bowl.
How to Watch
- When: Sunday, February 8, 6:30 pm ET
- Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California
- How to Watch: NBC, Peacock
| Drake Maye Under 225.5 passing yards | -115 |
Some would say we are mad here. But it’s not like that. Maye ranks 11th of 15 passers in the playoffs in passing efficiency, and that’s something just a few noticed. Sure, it was poor weather in Denver, where he posted only 86 passing yards, but overall, that’s the trend he’s been experiencing in the playoffs.
On the other hand, he’s been rushing a lot, but that will be the subject of some other article, which you can find here. Yet now, we strongly believe that this guy isn’t a good option for betting on Over, yet quite the opposite. And yes, for all the Pats fans and all the other who doubt in their win without Maye’s unreal production, a triumph in Denver is the best proof of that.
| Sam Darnold Under 225.5 passing yards | -115 |
Sooner or later, Kenneth Walker will get tired, and Darnold will have to try to overload Jaxson Smith-Njigba, who is masterful all season long. But even with that, we don’t believe such an approach will increase his passing yardage, because we’ve seen how Darnold performs against tougher defenses these days.
- Week 16 vs. Panthers 147 passing yards
- Week 17 vs. 49ers 198 passing yards
- NFC Divisional Game vs. 49ers 124 passing yards
Sure, he had Zach Charbonnet available, and Kevin O’Connell relied more on running. Still, there is a tendency in Darnold’s case that shows a huge drop in his passing efficiency against tougher defenses. And the Pats have one.
