Preview

Nebraska led Minnesota for nearly the entire game in Week 1, but was unable to close out the win. They allowed the Golden Gophers to tie it up late in the 4th quarter, before they eventually kicked a game winning field goal. The Cornhuskers will now face a more difficult than expected game in Week 2 against a rejuvenated Colorado team. An 0-2 start will make reaching 6 wins for bowl eligibility even more difficult.

Colorado had exactly the type of performance in Week 1 that they had hoped for to kick off the Deion Sanders era. It was QB Shedeur Sanders who really led the Buffaloes to victory, throwing for a program record 510 yards. Dynamic 2-way player Travis Hunter also stood out, reeling in 11 catches for 119 yards. With a revamped roster, Colorado could be a lot better than expected after winning just 1 game last year.

Prediction

I’m a bit surprised to see such a close spread for this game. While Colorado did only win one game last season, their team is completely different now. They proved against TCU that they can compete at a much higher level, while Nebraska continues to struggle. I’m not expecting a complete blowout, but I do see the Buffaloes winning this game by a comfortable margin. I’d slam some bets for them to win and cover here.
