How to Watch

Preview
Florida State had a scare in Week 3 against Boston College. After climbing to a 31-10 lead early in the 3rd quarter, the Seminoles seemed to have the game under control. Unfortunately, they went only to allow 19 unanswered points from there, nearly allowing the Eagles to win the game. The Seminoles need to avoid losing focus in this week’s matchup against Clemson. QB Jordan Travis continues to play at an elite level.

Clemson dominated FAU in Week 3, winning 48-14. After a disappointing loss to Duke in Week 1, in which they only scored 7 points, the Tigers have since outscored their next two opponents 114-31. The teams they faced weren’t much of a test, so this game against Florida State will provide more clarity as to if Clemson’s Week 1 result was a fluke or not. They’ll need their offense to keep their foot on the gas here.
Prediction
Clemson has been known over the past several seasons for being nearly unbeatable at home. They’ve softened a bit over the past few years, but it is still a massive task. Florida State enters this game as the road favorites, with an opportunity to put last week’s close call behind them. I see this being a much closer game than Clemson’s loss to Duke in Week 1, but I ultimately see the Seminoles getting the road victory.
