Team News
Michigan enters this season as the favorite to win the Big-10, after making the CFP for the 2nd straight season. After struggling to overcome their rivals, Ohio State, and crack the CFP field for the first several seasons under Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines finally took the next step with QB J.J. McCarthy. Returning for another season, McCarthy gives Michigan an excellent chance at making the CFP once again in 2023.

If McCarthy improves even further on his level of play from last year as he gets more experienced, the Wolverines could even make a run for the title game. It eluded them over the past two seasons, but they’ll benefit from being one of the few teams that kept the majority of their offensive playmakers from 2022-23. With McCarthy at the helm and both Corum and Edwards in the backfield, they’ll be tough to beat.
Prediction
After finally cracking the CFP field in 2021, Michigan made their return in 2022, but once again failed to win in the semifinals. They have their sights set on the title game this season. If they can overcome some losses on the defensive side, the Wolverines should have a good chance to make their 3rd straight CFP.
