Game Preview
The thing with the Warriors is that Buddy Hield woke up, so they just might survive Steph Curry’s absence easily. There’s Jimmy Butler as well, so the Dub Nation enters Game 2 with confidence.
GSW controlled the opening game of the series from start to finish. Hield had 24 points, five threes, 8 boards. Butler scored 20 with 11 rebounds and 8 assists, while Draymond Green added 19 and 8 boards. Curry had 13 in 13 minutes before leaving due to an injury.
The Timberwolves were 5-for-27 for three, which is probably their worst shooting night in a while. They had a terrible second quarter, scoring only 11 points while allowing 26, which is why this unit lost.
Anthony Edwards was solid with 23 points and 14 boards, though he was just 9-for-22 from the field. Julius Randle had 18 points and six assists, and Naz Reid entered off the bench to score 19 points. Mike Conley had 0 points.
